* $0.35 surcharge will be added for all poor quality audio or difficult to hear conversations. You will be informed as soon as this is discovered and we will request your permission before proceeding with transcription (see "Cost Saving Tips" and "Definitions" at bottom of page).

* Turn-around time starts upon receipt of files and confirmation of deposit received.

* Hard copies can be made of all transcribed documents with a high-quality laser printer for an additional fee of $0.20 per page. You may provide your own paper or letterhead if desired.

Why charge by the word? No variables. What you speak or write is what you pay for.

Examples of document conversion: PDF to word; old land title documents converted to digital files; manuals; handwritten notes or any documents legal and other that need to be converted to Miscrosoft Word digital format.

Document conversion is charged by the word as follows:

Accounting, Invoicing and Payment options for regular clients:

  1. At the start of our business relationship, we will provide you with an agreement for signature setting out the terms of the billing and payment arrangements mutually agreed upon
  2. 15th and 30th of each month for repeat customers
  3. A detailed statement with job number and word count will be provided
  4. Client will be billed for all postage and/or courier charges incurred
  5. We accept Paypal, money orders, cash and cheques
  6. Payment is due upon receipt of invoice

Accounting, Invoicing and Payment options for new and non-regular clients:

  1. A $50.00 deposit must be paid before transcription will be commenced. This amount will be credited to the final invoice.
  2. A detailed statement with word count will be provided
  3. Client will be billed for all postage and/or courier charges incurred
  4. We accept Paypal, money orders and cash
  5. Payment is due immediately upon completion of transcription (invoice will be provided at that time)

  1. Spell out names, places, website links and any other unfamiliar words/terms during dictation
  2. Tapes that are recorded clearly will save you money
  3. Static and background noise (ie skytrain, airports, coffee shops) may take considerably longer to transcribe
  4. Speak loud and clear if in a noisy environment
  5. Low speaking voices are hard to hear
  6. If participants in a conference, meeting or interview can be miked, the quality of the recording greatly improves
  7. When dictating, avoid word whiskers such as "umm" or "like"
  8. Avoid conducting/recording interviews in public areas
  9. For handwritten notes with poor legibility, dictate them first, then send us the tapes or audio files

Our definition of "poor audio" includes but is not limited to:

  1. Background noise
  2. People speaking over each other
  3. Low, difficult to hear voices
  4. Frequent time stamps
  5. Difficult accents
  6. Verbatim transcripts that must include word whiskers, stutters and false starts
  7. Frequent use of technical terms or difficult words
  8. Mispronounced words
